From 2:30 - 4:30 we will have 2 hours of facilitated climbing with our expert coaches supporting everyone from the ground up. Beginners and new climbers are encouraged to join and we will have coaches and facilitators in place to ensure that you are supported. From 4:30 we will be going up to the cafe seating area for a viewing of a short 4 minute video which highlights 2 individuals experience of the climbing for wellbeing program, followed by a talk from the founder Pete Bennet. Complimentary drinks and snacks will be available.
During the day we will also be holding a fundraiser Climbing for Wellbeing with a free raffle for all participants. We welcome contributions through our GoFundMe page https://gofund.me/7a81ccc94 Yonder will also be giving 10% of all proceeds from entries for the day towards the find so even if you cant make the Climb for Wellbeing, just turning up on the day will be contributing!

IWD Workshops
Saturday 7th March
International Womens Day Routesetting Workshop - 10:00 - 14:00 - £100
Ever wanted to have a go at setting some blocks? This hands-on Routesetting Taster gives you the chance to step behind the glam and learn how climbs are built from start to finish. You’ll be guided by setters Imi Bagnall-Smith and Jas Rafferty, through the nuts and bolts, safety, tool use, etc., before working to set your own boulder. The session finishes with the best part, testing and tweaking each other’s climbs as a full group.
You’ll get to experiment with shapes, movement, style and flow, trying to turn ideas into climbs that feel satisfying and fun. You’ll also experience the challenges of a commercial setting: making something that works for others, adjusting when moves don’t climb as expected, and balancing ambition with practicality.
Your climbs will then be open to the general public, and you'll see others on your bloc
Hypermobility Workshop - 14:00 - 17:00
Exploring hypermobility for climbers:
In this workshop we’ll be looking at and learning about hypermobility and the 6 pillars of integrative movement that can be applied to daily life, any movement practice, but specifically to climbing, using a framework to support progress and recovery and reduce injury and fatigue in a safe, sustainable and enjoyable way!
Our 3 hour workshop will be split into 2 halves. Our first half will be led by Emma who will be exploring what hypermobility really is, how it affects us in our daily lives and in climbing, and guiding us through what, why and how the 6 pillars work with some fun demos and exercises along the way and plenty of useful tips.
The second half will be led by Yasmin and is a chance to put some of this knowledge into practice with a tailored and guided movement practice designed to support hypermobile bodies, use them more effectively and see sustained improvement both on and off the wall. We can’t wait to see you there!
